Well it may be the chilliest time of year in Melbourne, but we’re hoping you’ll brave the cold on Tuesday nights in June and July – to join us for a brilliant new conversation series we’re hosting at !

TDF Talks @ Mercedes me brings together four inspiring speakers from architecture, design and fashion, in conversation with Lucy Feagins.

We’ll be talking fashion, retail and entrepreneurship with Amanda Briskin-Rettig, founder of , and former founder and director of Mimco. We’ll discuss architecture and human-centred residential development with Jeremy McLeod, founder of and . Ever-inspiring designer, florist, restaurateur and anti-waste crusader Joost Bakker will join us for a frank discussion about his sustainable design philosophies, and the challenges of getting trailblazing ideas off the ground. And lastly, we’re closing the series in late July with – our favourite comedian, TV presenter and passionate advocate for Australian design and architecture.

Late last year, you may recall we profiled – a new cafe and versatile event space, designed by  and operated by Mercedes-Benz, in partnership with St. Ali.

This winter, we’re thrilled to be hosting a series of in-conversation events in this unique venue.  TDF Talks @ Mercedes me brings together four inspiring speakers from the worlds of architecture, design and fashion, in conversation with me!

Amanda Briskin-Rettig

Designer, florist, restaurateur and anti-waste crusader Joost Bakker discusses his innovative approach to sustainable design, his ‘zero waste’ philosophy, and why, in his view, bureaucracy is killing innovation in Australia!

The founding director of , and revolutionary new housing model and , discusses his visionary approach to residential development, and his  ambitious new project in Brunswick – a new seven-building precinct called Nightingale Village.
